Earlier this year Fulton County fire fighter Felix Roberts gave his life while fighting a fire in the new city of Johns Creek as did Johns Creek citizen John Callahan. |

Cornetta Challenges Mayor to Participate in Town Fundraiser By Anne Winter Friday, Oct 5, 2007 
JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Love Shack owner John Cornetta has sent a letter to the local mayor challenging him to accept a $5,825 donation and participate in a fundraiser to benefit the fire department.
Despite serious opposition from Mayor Mike Bodker — who has repeatedly refused donations from Cornetta in the past— Cornetta said he has steadily been raising money to aid the city and is planning a special fundraiser in December. |

In the month of June, Cornetta Charitable Foundation raised $6,826.46 to be donated to the victims of a recent fire in the community of Johns Creek and to assist in the development of a Fire Department in Johns Creek. With 1% of gross sales from area stores and 2% of sales from the Love Shack’s Johns Creek store, the Love Shack is donating $5,058.46 from its June sales. |
